We arrived at the venue around noon. The air was heavy and the sun too bright, but people where sitting down and chilling. I looked around for someone I knew, but couldn't spot anyone. My friend Michi made friends with some spanish fans who had travelled from southern Spain (Cordoba, in Andalus) to see Linkin Park, only to find there was another concert in Portugal. Poor guys.

Time passed slowly 'till around 3 pm, when we got up to wait in line. We were sure something was happening, and we were hoping they would let us in early. Then nothing, and we were left to wait. Around 5 pm they finally let us in, and we ran as fast as we could to the scene. When we found a place, my heart was beating so fast I thought I was going to be sick. Our newly made friends from Spain was there with us, with was nice.

Then more waiting in the sun. The security was fucking lame. It was impossible to get any water in, and nobody wanted to go out to get some. The only thing you could get was icecream and fucking beer. It took a couple of malaises caused by dehydration for the security to finally get some water into the crowd. Then we all helped get the water to people. It was comforting to see people helping each other out.

Then finally Funeral For A Friend went on stage. They really rocked and started a great mood. Then Coheed & Cambria went on. They ruled for the first couple of songs with awsome guitar-playing, then I got bored with them.

When they finished, there was a pause before Linkin Park were to go on stage. I started feeling really bad and had to sit down. So far, my OCD hadn't acted up too bad, but now I started to get nervous. I was really sure I wasn't going to make it more than 3 songs before I would have to get out, and that really brought me down. I decided I would have to hear at least 3 songs, and at least 6 if my friend where to leave the crowd with me. Small goals always help, and feeling a little better I got up.

People started chanting “Linkin Park! Linkin Park!” and finally Joe came on to play Session. I was so excited, standing on my toes to spot the guys as they came on stage. Rob came on, then after a minute or so, the clapping started and the rest of the guys came out to play Given Up. Right then, I forgot all about how bad I felt and started to scream along. I spotted Chester a couple of times and was caught off guard by the intensity in his eyes as he sang. Now I understand why some people are frightened of him when he's on stage. There was so much anger there I could feel it in my stomach.

Then the band played From The Inside and Somewhere I Belong, two songs perfect for singing along, and afterwards No More Sorrow, where I saw the same intensity in Chester as in Given Up. Lying From You and Petrified/Points of Authority/A Place For My Head where really nice and heavy. My sister didn't like Petrified to much, but I was glad I got to hear some Fort Minor live, even if it was only one verse.

The band then went on to play some of the softer songs What I've Done, Leave Out All The Rest, Numb, Breaking the Habit and Shadow of the Day. Funnily enough, a couple of German boys in front of me went crazy when What I've Done was played, and started pushing each other around, taking me by surprise

Leave Out All The Rest made my sister cry, because I've said I want the chorus played at my funeral. Between Numb and Breaking the Habit, Mike played the most beautiful piano solo I've ever heard. It started out really soft and sweet, then it got more aggressive and Mike's gaze got so intense I forgot to breathe.

After Breaking The Habit, which got everyone singing, including Brad, which was really cute, they played Shadow Of The Day, and I turned around to look at my father, and true enough, he was singing along. It's his favourite Linkin Park song, and every time there has been a setlist from previous shows, he has been asking me if it was still on the set. I think he went to the concert just to hear that song.

After Shadow Of The Day, it was my sister's turn to feel euphoric as Mike rapped both verses of Hands Held High, the first verse acapella, the second over the intro to KRWLNG. It's one of my favourite Linkin Park songs as well, and I could really feel it move me when I heard it live. It brought forth this desire to change, to have a revolution. If Mike where to ask me to revolve right then, I would have. It was the craziest feeling ever, and I loved it.

Then Crawling began, and I couldn't be happier. This is one of the songs that lyrically mean a lot to me, and it felt really good to shout out the word without caring if people heard me or not. They then played In The End, and then Rob made the best drum solo ever before Bleed It Out. Seriously, I could listen to him play drums for an entire show.

Linkin Park then went off stage and Dead By Sunrise came in to play their three song set. I think I was the only one near me who had practised the lyrics by watching clips on Youtube, but I didn't really care if people could hear me. I can't wait for Out of Ashes to come out! “I hear these voices in my head, they could be mine, but I'm not sure” from Crawl Back In is such an awsome line.

After Dead By Sunrise, Linkin Park played a three song encore with New Divide, Faint and One Step Closer, and the crowd went wild. We got caught between three moshpits, and we had to make a circle to shelter some girls who weren't feeling too well. It was so exciting and really got my adrenaline pumping.

After finishing their set, the band said goodbye and started throwing stuff into the crowd. Mike threw an empty bottle in our direction, and suddenly the people beside me disappeared, having fallen to the ground to get the bottle, taking more people with them, my sister included.

As soon as the guys had left the stage, background music started playing – first, the most horrible version of One Step Closer. It cannot be described. We were like “WTF?”, then we broke down giggling. On our way out, I bought a T-Shirt (will post a picture later) and a download code for the show. I won't be able to download it 'till late september, though, I can't wait. I'm a short person (1,62 cm/5'4”;), so I could hardly see anything. I'm looking forward to actually seeing what happened on stage.

As we left the venue, I was left with a crazy craving for more Linkin Park. I was like, “I wanna go again!”, like a kid, or perhaps an addict. I will definitely see Linkin Park again as soon as I get the chance!
